Our staff has twenty years experience developing, marketing and supporting high-end direct commerce software.  This includes the development of numerous interfaces for a variety of credit card processors and networks.  Our close relationship with these vendors, although primarily technical in nature, eventually led to strategic business alliances - with Paymentech in particular. 

 

Over the years we learned a lot about the business of payment processing; especially ways in which the system was skewed to favor of those who sell merchant services -- not those who utilize them.  Large merchants have the knowledge and clout to demand very low rates, leaving smaller ones at the mercy of an industry which relies upon its inherent complexity to confuse and wring higher fees from them. 

 

The only reason not to offer a merchant interchange pass-through--which is blissfully simple and facilitates apples-to-apples comparisons-- is for the provider to make more money.  Pure and simple.  Yet fewer than 3% of all merchants have an interchange deal.  Simplified Merchant Services is ushering the way into a new era in which the vast majority of merchants will enjoy the lowest possible pricing through interchange-only rate schedules. 

 

If you're not paying interchange, you're paying too much.
